 Community Coffee Room

This is a quiet space where you can come for a pot of tea or Barista style coffee and, of course, cake. We are not a hot food /sandwich cafe but we can offer an escape from your own 4 walls, a friendly face and chat if you are needing company - or just peace and quiet for a while  to read a book. You are also welcome to use our wi-fi while you are here.

This space is open to anyone most  Mondays during shop opening hours

 

And here we are in 2026. Beginning the year by calling all Marmalade Magicians.

Our first 18 kg of superb organic Seville Oranges 🍊 has landed,  ready for transforming in your cauldrons and preserving pans. We shall continue to refresh stock  weekly until the season ends. 

CHRISTMAS EVE : OPEN until 4pm. Last chance to pop in for those gorgeous Candle Bothy Christmas scents ..diffusers and candles. Or any other last minute stocking fillers. Thanking everyone who shopped here during this past year and all those who ordered the veg boxes which have been collected over the past couple days.

Wishing one and all a peaceful and happy festive season. May we all count our Blessings, however small, and bring kindness to ourselves and the planet this coming year

TWO FESTIVE EVENTS  this week:

Gail will have the shop open on Thursday evening to join in the annual Kirriemuir Late Night shopping event. Please pop in to say hi, sample some baking and browse our eco friendly gift ideas, mostly from local makers.

Cash only on the night as we will have our card reading equipment with us at the Glen Isla Hall supporting Isla Primary school Christmas Fayre for which we have been booked  for for months.

NOVEMBER 15th: 🎄 Christmas lights switch on and Santa in town today. Markets & Craft Fairs in the Town & Church Halls. How about a wander round to see what else there is in the other small shops as well. Lots more locally made and festive items available. We have just put a new range of SPIRIT GLEN jellies / jams on our shelf made from local fruit and mindfully foraged berries with the exception of a couple of added spices. 😋 

November 8th 2025: Dreich day - why not treat yourself  or someone  else to a pouch of Little Birdie luxury Hot Chocolate. Mint or  Gingerbread are winter favourites and the Dark or Dark/ Orange are also vegan.

Perfect to snuggle down with a full mug or give as a thoughtful gift. If you prefer,  Little Birdie ( a local artisan roaster) also supplies us with her loose tea blends and range of blended or  single origin coffee beans.

November2nd: Hot and Spicy chilli chutneys, traditional preserves and marmalades, or hearty warming soups to suit the season. Heidi from our favourite Littlest Herb Company has topped them all up for us in the run up to the festive season  - along with some fab gift packs which would make unique hampers or presents for the special folk in your lives.

Seasonal New Arrivals & Re-stocks

November 1st: How did it get to be November already?  Although we are a retailer , as a zero waste shop we don't buy into the whole commercial plastic produced Halloween and Christmas vibe - but we do like to help you with some seasonal local shopping and eco friendly good will by offering some beautifully hand crafted gift ideas from some of our favourite suppliers.

We have stocked Sophie's gorgeous Candle Bothy diffusers and candles for 7 years now .. both here and in our previous shop. Ethically made and packaged - her scents never disappoint and last for absolutely ages.

Her winter and Christmas range are on the shelf from this week .. come and try the sniff testers and choose your favourite.

 

New in our stable - we are thrilled to be able to stock Ali Easson's Hemp It Up soap range .. literally just launched. Ali has been working on these all year at Airlie Barns, just down the road. We love the finished product .. silky soaps in sleek plastic free packaging. Skin friendly and perfect as gifts or to treat yourself.

 

Also not to be forgotten, we have have just been restocked with The Black Cat Soap house range of soap and shampoo bars, body creams, face, hair and body oils and some gift trios and bags. Too many favourites here to mention - they have also consistently supplied us since we opened in 2020.  Spoilt for choice this year guys!
